FSDRV President lauded for her
contributions to geomorphology

Jacqueline Winterer, long-time FSDRV Board Member and current Board President has been honored for her work on mapping the sea floor. A small piece of the Indian Ocean has been named the “Mammerickx Microplate. See the Sandpiper for a summary and a link to full article on the Scripps Institution of Oceanography website.

The copious rains of the past few weeks have loosened the ground and intensified the San Dieguito river flow.

A landslide has damaged the Coast to Crest trail south of Horse Park as is shown in the photograph. Rangers have posted signage preventing access to the trail. JPA staff will soon meet with Coastal Commission staff to discuss what measures should be taken to restore passage along the trail.
